Screen Layout
The main screen is divided into several key areas:
Top Bar
- Search - Find trails by name or location
- Profile - Access your account and statistics
- Settings - Customize app behavior
Map Area
The central map displays:
- Your current location (blue dot)
- Nearby trails (colored lines)
- Points of interest (markers)
Bottom Navigation
- Explore - Discover trails near you
- Record - Start tracking an activity
- Navigate - Follow a trail
- Profile - View your stats and history
Map Controls
Zoom and Pan
- Pinch to zoom in/out
- Drag to move the map
- Double-tap to zoom in quickly
Location Button
Tap the location button (bottom right) to center the map on your current position.
Layer Button
Switch between map types:
- Standard map
- Satellite view
- Terrain view
- Topographic view
Quick Actions
Record Button
The large Record button in the center starts a new activity recording. Tap once to begin tracking your adventure.
Trail Cards
When you tap on a trail, a card appears showing:
- Trail name and photo
- Distance and elevation gain
- Difficulty rating
- Quick actions (Navigate, Save, Share)
Customization
You can customize the main screen in Settings:
- Change default map type
- Show/hide distance markers
- Enable dark mode for night use
- Set preferred units (km/miles)
