Step 2: Enable GPS

- Open Settings then Privacy & Security then Location Services
- Find AltoTrails and select While Using the App
- Enable Precise Location for best accuracy

- Open Settings then Location
- Make sure location is ON
- Find AltoTrails in app permissions
- Select Allow only while using the app
- Enable Use precise location
Step 3: Create an Account (Optional)
While you can use AltoTrails without an account, signing up unlocks additional features:

Step 4: Calibrate Your Compass
For accurate navigation, calibrate your compass:
- Open AltoTrails
- Move your phone in a figure-8 pattern several times
- The compass icon will indicate when calibration is complete

- Record an activity using the Record button
