Your Profile Overview

Your profile is the central hub for all your activities, statistics, and saved content in AltoTrails.

Accessing Your Profile

Tap the profile icon (usually bottom-right or in the menu) to access your personal dashboard.

Profile Sections

Your Activities

View all your recorded trails and activities:

Recent Activities - Your latest recordings appear first
Activity Types - Filter by hiking, cycling, walking, or running
Calendar View - See activities by date
Statistics - Distance, elevation, duration for each activity

Saved Content

Access your saved and planned routes:

Saved Trails - Trails you've bookmarked from the explore page
Planned Routes - Routes you've created with the planning tool
Downloaded Maps - Offline map areas you've saved

Statistics Dashboard

Track your progress over time:

Total Distance - Cumulative kilometers/miles
Total Elevation - Total elevation gained
Activities Count - Number of recorded trails
Time Active - Total time spent on activities
Monthly Goals - Set and track monthly targets
Year in Review - Annual statistics summary

Settings & Preferences

Customize your AltoTrails experience:

Units - Choose metric or imperial measurements
Privacy - Control who can see your activities
Notifications - Manage alerts and reminders
Map Preferences - Default map type and layers
Recording Settings - GPS accuracy and auto-pause

Viewing an Activity

Tap any recorded activity to see details:

Map view - Your route on the map
Elevation chart - Altitude changes throughout
Stats - Distance, time, pace, elevation gain
Photos - Pictures taken during the activity
Comments - Notes you've added
Actions - Share, export, edit, or delete

Managing Your Files

Organizing Activities

Edit names - Give meaningful titles to your recordings
Add descriptions - Include trail conditions, weather, notes
Tag activities - Use tags for easy filtering
Archive old activities - Keep profile organized

Privacy Controls

Choose visibility for each activity:

Private - Only you can see it
Friends - Share with specific contacts
Public - Visible to all AltoTrails users
Link sharing - Share via unique link

Storage Management

View storage used by recorded activities
Clear cache to free up space
Download activities for offline access
Backup important recordings

Choose Change Photo
Select from gallery or take new photo
Crop and confirm

Add a bio describing your hiking style
Set your location
Link social media accounts (optional)
Display activity preferences

Follow other users to see their public activities

Earn badges for completing activities and milestones:

Activity Badges

First Hike, Cycling, Walk, Trek, Drive completed
Trail Contributor - Contributed to mapping or adding a trail
Commented on a Trail

Milestone Badges

5 Trails Completed
10 Trails Completed
Kilometer Crusader - Completed 50+ km in single activity
Vertical Voyager - 1000+ meters elevation in single activity

Activity Count Badges

Half Century Club - 50 total activities
Century Club - 100 total activities
200 Club - 200 total activities

Pro Badges

Avid Hiker - 30+ hiking activities
Dedicated Cyclist - 50+ cycling activities
